Layag

Micro ISP Management System with Direct OLT Integration.

The Problem

Micro ISPs often struggle with disjointed systems. Customer data is in a spreadsheet, billing is manual, and network management requires logging into multiple hardware interfaces. When a customer calls about slow internet, the support team has to "investigate" rather than just "know".

We built Layag to solve this by unifying the physical network layer with the business logic layer.

Core Capabilities

Direct OLT Integration

Layag talks directly to OLTs (Optical Line Terminals). It supports HiOSO and VSOL out of the box. This means the system knows exactly which ONU is offline, which one has low signal, and can control bandwidth directly from the customer's profile.

Automated Speed Control

No more manual disconnection. When a bill is overdue, Layag automatically communicates with the OLT to cap the speed or disable the port. When payment is received, service is restored instantly.

Real-time Monitoring

The system polls network status every 5 minutes. We track signal strength (optical power) history, allowing technicians to spot degrading lines before they become full outages.

Mobile-First Field Tools

Technicians and collectors have dedicated interfaces optimized for mobile. Payments can be collected offline and synced later. Installations are documented with photos and GPS coordinates on the spot.

Technical Architecture

We engineered Layag using a Strategy Pattern for the OLT driver layer. This allows us to add support for new hardware vendors without touching the core business logic.

  • Backend: Laravel 12.x (PHP 8.2+)
  • Frontend: Livewire 3.x with Flux UI
  • Database: SQLite (Migratable to PostgreSQL)
  • Protocol: SSH2 / Telnet for hardware communication

We are currently deploying Layag with select partners. If you run a local ISP and want to modernize your operations, let's talk.
